Deciding to leave an organization on Promptitude is a significant step. Whether you're planning to join a different team or simply taking a break, closing your user account is straightforward. This guide will walk you through the process of closing your account, explain the consequences, and provide you with the steps to do so.

Consequences of Closing Your User Account

Before you proceed with closing your account, it's important to understand what this action entails:

🔹 Loss of Access: You will lose access to the organization, including all prompts and logs associated with it.

🔹 Email Availability: Your email will be freed up, allowing you to use it to create a new account or join another organization on Promptitude.

🔹 Irreversible Action: Once your account is closed, the action cannot be undone. You will need to create a new account if you wish to return.

Step by Step to Close Your User Account

Follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition:

1️⃣ Navigate to User Menu: Click on the user icon located at the bottom left of your screen. This will open the user menu.

2️⃣ Access Profile Settings: In the user menu, click on Profile to go to your account settings. Scroll to the bottom.

3️⃣ Close Your Account: Locate and click on the Close User Account option. You may be asked to confirm your decision.

Once confirmed, your account will be closed, and you will be logged out automatically.

Closing your Promptitude user account is an irreversible action that should be considered carefully. Once you close your account, you lose access to all associated data and features within the organization.

However, this action also frees up your email, allowing you to explore new opportunities within Promptitude, whether by joining another organization or creating a new one.

Happy collaborating, and we hope to see you back soon in a new capacity!
