In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of installing and using the Google Sheets Add-on with your Promptitude account. Promptitude is a powerful prompt management platform that uses Generative AI to automate and streamline your daily tasks. With the Google Sheets Add-on, you can enhance your productivity and manage everything securely in one location.
Step 1️⃣: Create a Promptitude Account
Before you can use the Google Sheets Add-on, you need to have a Promptitude account. If you don't have one yet, you can create one for free. As a new user, you'll start with 100K tokens for free, which you can use to generate content in Google Sheets.
Step 2️⃣: Install the Google Sheets Add-on
Next, you'll need to install the Google Sheets Add-on. To do this, simply go to Google Workspace Add-ons, search for the Google Sheets Add-on, and click on the install button. Once installed, you can log in to your organization's account using your email address.
Step 3️⃣: Check Your API Key
To generate content in Google Sheets, you need to connect your spreadsheet to Promptitude using an API Key. By default, we've created an API Key for you called "Google Sheets".
You can view, modify, or create a new Key as needed during the initial setup or later. This API Key integration ensures enhanced control over costs, data, and security.
Step 4️⃣: Connect to an AI Provider
To use Google Sheets for generating content, you need to connect to an AI provider. Your free plan includes 100K tokens; once these are exhausted, you can add your own AI connection to maintain service.
To add an AI Connection, go to your Settings > AI Connections in Promptitude and click the 'New Connection' button at the top right. Choose your provider, name the connection, and paste the API key of your preferred AI provider. This ensures requests are routed through your account, keeping your data private and not used for training AI models.
With the Google Sheets Add-on and Promptitude, you can automate and streamline your daily tasks, manage everything securely in one location, and enhance your productivity.
Remember to check your API Key and connect to an AI provider to ensure continuous generation of content. If you don't have an AI provider yet, you can sign up for one and get some free credits.
