1️⃣ ADD YOUR FIRST AI CONNECTION
Promptitude supports several AI providers for text generation.

Sign up for OpenAI ($5 free credit)
Sign up for NLP Cloud ($15 free credit)
For the most advanced text generation capabilities, we recommend OpenAI. For standard tasks, NLP Cloud is a reliable and affordable service.
👉 Get your provider's API key
You can usually find the API key in the settings menu of your AI provider. Here's a quick tutorial how to get your API key for OpenAI.
👉 Add an AI Connection in Promptitude
In Promptitude, go to your AI Connections and click the New Connection button at the top right:
In the slide-over, choose your provider and name the connection (just use the provider name for starters). Then paste the API key which you had copied in the previous step:
Click Save, and you're ready to create your first prompt!
2️⃣ CREATE YOUR FIRST PROMPT
Get your feet wet with your first prompt, and play around with Promptitude’s addition of input parameters and result types.
3️⃣ INTEGRATE INTO YOUR APP
We’ve already created your first API key for you. Create more if you’re integrating Promptitude into more than one app.
4️⃣ REVIEW YOUR LOGS & IMPROVE
Browse the logs to see which prompts perform well and which ones don’t - and start improving them.
