Uploading Content from browser

You can easily upload content in the following formats from your browser:

  • PDF

  • DOCX

  • PPTX

  • CSV

  • TSV

  • HTML

  • TXT

To upload content, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Upload button in your browser.

  2. Select the file you want to upload from your local storage.

  3. Wait for the upload to complete.

Uploading Content through a URL

If you have content hosted on a website, you can also upload it using a URL. However, please ensure that the URL starts with https for the content extraction to work correctly. To upload content through a URL, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Upload button in your browser.

  2. Select the From URL option.

  3. Enter the secure URL of the content you want to upload.

  4. Fill in the missing fields, wait for the upload and content extraction process to complete.

Adding Links to Documents

In addition to uploading files, you can also add links to documents in the following formats:

  • PDF

  • DOCX

  • PPTX

  • HTML

  • TXT

To add a link to a document, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Upload button in your browser.

  2. Select the From URL option.

  3. Enter the URL or path of the document.

  4. Wait for the document details to be processed.

To keep your content organized, you can create folders for different types of content. This allows for easier management and helps specify which folders to pull content from when building prompts. To create a folder, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Create Folder button.

  2. Give the folder a descriptive name, such as "Knowledge Base Articles" or "Videos".

  3. Click Create to create the folder.

Tagging Your Documents (Optional)

For more advanced organization, you can tag your documents. Tags can be useful for distinguishing between internal and external documents, or any other categories you find helpful. To add tags to your documents, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Add Tags button.

  2. Enter the desired tags with checks.

  3. Click Edit Content to apply the tags to your documents.

Reviewing and Finalizing

After uploading your content, you will need to wait for it to be processed. Once the contents are processed, you can review their details and make any necessary changes. Once you are satisfied with the uploaded content, you are done!

Process Content: After uploading your content, you'll notice that each file has a "Waiting" status. Promptitude will automatically process your files by chunking them according to the specified chunk size and creating vector embeddings for each chunk. Once the processing is complete, you'll see the updated status in the Content Storage area.

State definitions in the list:

πŸ”΅ Waiting: The content is in a waiting list to be processed.

🟑 Processing: The full text of the content is being defined and is being divided into chunks.

πŸ”΄ Error: There has been a problem with the processing, you can find the definition of the error in the detail of the content.

🟒 Ready: It is processed and ready to be used.

Remember, processing takes a few minutes, if you still don't see changes in the status of the contents, take advantage of the "Refresh table" button to refresh the view.
