In this article, we'll guide you on how to add context to your prompts with just a single click using Promptitude, prompt management platform for businesses. This feature allows you to enrich your prompts with relevant information from your Content Storage, enhancing the coherence and relevance of your text.

What is Context?

Context refers to the linguistic elements that shape the meaning or correct interpretation of a text. It's crucial for understanding and generating coherent text. Language models, like GPT, use context to predict and complete words or phrases. In Promptitude, the context is based on your content previously uploaded to the platform into Content Storage.

How to Add Context to Your Prompts

To add context to your prompts, you'll need to navigate to the Input tab inside your prompt. Here, you can activate or deactivate the automatic context and set up the details quickly.

Important: The context is based on your Content Storage, so you'll need to have previously uploaded or linked your content in Promptitude to have a documentation base to reference your prompts.

Configuring Your Context

There are three basic options to configure your context:

✅ Use Input Variables

Use your prompt input fields to perform the search based on the inputs you've already configured. It's the default and most common option.

➔ Choose the input variables you wish to incorporate into the query; note that, by default, all inputs will be included.

✅ Static Query

Specify a question to be the base query to search for relevant chunks in your content storage.

✅ Advanced

The advanced option is suggested for experts who wish to build the base query using their own inputs, forming an instructive message along with embedding variables in a single prompt.

➔ Include input variables with their accurate names, always retaining the double brackets that typically enclose them.

➔ Craft a uniform message for executing your query. Keep in mind that once saved, it becomes a static query composed of your variable inputs. If you modify their names, adjustments must be made manually in this section.

How Can I See the Real Context of My Prompt?

It's simple! In the result obtained, you can consult the new "Contents" tab. Here, you will find the details of the type of Context used, the input variables used (if any), and finally the chunks taken for the context.

You will also find a direct link to your content to analyze in detail the parts taken. This feature allows you to understand better how the context is being used and how it influences the output of your prompts.

By adding context to your prompts, you can enhance the relevance and accuracy of your prompts, making them more useful and effective for your business needs. So, go ahead and start adding context to your prompts with just a click!

Enrich your prompts with information from your Content Storage, making your prompts more meaningful and useful. Whether you're using variable inputs, a static query, or the advanced option, Promptitude makes it easy to add context to your prompts.
