Organizing your prompts, assistants, and flows is essential for maintaining an efficient workflow in Promptitude. With a simple tagging system, you can categorize all your creations—including prompts, assistants, flows, and stored content—making them easy to find and manage.

This article will guide you through creating, using, and managing tags to keep your workspace organized.

✏️ Creating Tags in Promptitude

You can create tags in three different ways:

  1. From the prompt list header: Look for the "Plus" icon at the end of your existing tags in the header of the prompt list. Clicking this icon allows you to add a new tag instantly.

  2. Within a prompt's details: When viewing or editing a specific prompt, you'll find a tag selection area where you can both select existing tags and create new ones on the fly.

  3. Through Settings: Access the Settings section and navigate to the prompts area to manage all your tags in one central location.

🔸 Applying Tags to Your Creations

Once you've created tags, applying them to your content is straightforward:

  • When creating new item: As you create a new prompt, assistant, or flow, you'll see an option to add tags before saving.

  • For existing items: Open any existing item and look for the tag selection area to add or remove tags as needed.

Pro tip: Apply multiple tags to a single item when it serves different purposes or belongs to different categories. This creates a flexible organization system that adapts to your needs.

🎯 Managing Your Tags

Keeping your tagging system clean and relevant is just as important as creating it:

  1. Editing tags: Navigate to Settings > Prompts / Assistants to find your central list of tags. Here you can modify tag names to better reflect their purpose.

  2. Viewing tagged content: From the same settings page, you can click on any tag to see all prompts or assistants associated with it.

  3. Deleting tags: If a tag is no longer useful, you can delete it from the Settings area. Don't worry—deleting a tag doesn't delete your content. All your prompts will remain safe in the general "all" list.

✅ Best Practices for Tag Organization

To make the most of Promptitude's tagging system:

  • Use consistent naming conventions for your tags to avoid confusion

  • Create category-based tags (e.g., "customer-service," "marketing," "internal")

  • Consider project-based tags for time-limited initiatives

  • Implement status tags like "draft," "approved," or "archived" to track content lifecycle

  • Regularly review and clean up your tags to prevent tag sprawl

🔔 Benefits of Organized Prompts

Taking the time to organize your prompts, assistants, and flows with tags offers several advantages:

  • Faster access to the content you need when you need it

  • Better collaboration with team members who can easily find relevant prompts

  • Clearer overview of your AI assets and their purposes

  • Simplified maintenance of your prompt library as it grows

By implementing a thoughtful tagging strategy in Promptitude, you'll transform a potentially chaotic collection of prompts into a well-structured resource that enhances your productivity and the value you get from your AI tools.
